Do you know your Ego, or better said do you know what your ego is?

This question may cause some confusion, special when you don't know what an ego really is. You heard may some saying like "this person has a big ego and needs to get down and be normal again!"

Now, what is an Ego really?

Ego is a Latin word meaning "I", cognate with the Greek meaning "I", often used in English to mean the "self", "self-concept", "false self", "conceptual identity", or identification with individual existence.

According to Eckhart Tolle comments that, to the extent that the ego is present in an individual, that individual is somewhat insane psychologically, in reference to the ego's nature as compulsively hyper-active and compulsively (and pathologically) self-centered. However, since this is the norm, it goes unrecognized as the source of much that could be classified as insane behavior in everyday life.

Is your Ego creating your life or is your life created through your desire?

The answer is real simple; check your bank account it will tell you. When you are broken all the time than your ego is in control of your life. Your Ego wants all this things now and it will give you all the excuses why you should buy it now and charge it to your credit card or to finance it, because you should have it now, who knows what can happen tomorrow.

When you live your life by desire, than you have long-term goals. You will live under your need. That means you spend less money than you make, and what's left over will be invest to multiply for future purchases and have later a lifestyle of your dreams. This group of people also learns how the money works for them.
